Hot Lunch for School Children

We are activly and continuingly raising funds to support our Hot Lunch program in Kayenje. Many of the school children had little, if anything, to eat. This program ensures that they get at least one hot, filling meal a day. It is due to our supporters and donators that we are still able to employ cooks and buy food grown in Uganda. This program will be on-going, hopefully for years to come.

Small Business Microloans

MIMA Africa has endevoured to take a small percentage of the total donations recieved throughout the year and loan it to ten small businesses. To get the businesses started or out of the negative, each recieves $400(a figure determined to be the average yearly income in the country of Uganda). They have a payment plan arranged to pay off the loans in small installments. The goal of this program is to help ten new businesses each year.

Convent

We have been promised 6 certified teachers and 1 nurse, all sisters of the church, if we are able to build them a home. We are currently in the process of procuring funds and building the home on land next to the new church. We hope to complete this project in 2012.
